Pitch your ideas (P4: U21, M3: U21)

LO3: Be able to pitch ideas on a proposed media product and respond to questions

I found the client's feedback mostly useful due to the fact that it was helpful to me in order to improve my magazine. Below I have answered the questions in more detail to show more of an understanding of the feedback I received.

Client Questions

Is it just music festivals?

Yes, it is just based on music festivals, as I believe these are the most popular festivals and therefore more people will want to buy the magazine because of this. An example of a very successful music festival is Wireless festival which takes place in Finsbury Park, with over 120,000 people attending.

When will these music festivals be happening?

The festivals featuring in the magazine will mainly be taking place during summer time however there will be festivals in the magazine that will be taking place at all different times during the year. The summer is one of the most popular time for festivals as this is when a lot of teenagers are off school and so therefore are available. This is good for festivals as one of the main age groups that attend festivals are teens.

What will you do if there are no festivals during the summer time?

I will make sure that if there is no festivals during the summer, I will be focusing on celebrity interviews, as well as making sure I get all the details in the magazine for the next festivals that will be coming up. Part of what I intend to include is details of where different festivals take place as many festival lovers will want to know this and so will therefore be encouraged to purchase the magazine.

What do the competitor magazines do when there are no festivals happening?

They mainly focus on celebrity interviews as a lot of customers like to know about what celebrities have to say. Celebrity interviews also captivate consumers of the magazine as many of these consumer are fans of these celebrities and so will want to know what they have to say.
